Angels' Cup is a coffee tasting club where subscribers blindly sample up to 208 different coffees per year, record tasting notes through our app, and then compare answers with the roastmaster. We offer two subscription options, The Cupping Flight includes four 1oz samples for $9.99, and The Black Box includes four 2.75oz samples for $21.99. We discovered Angels' Cup after deciding to pursue our passion for coffee and created The Coffee Psychopaths. Angels' Cup allowed us to practice our cupping skills, develop our palette and, most of all, give us another excuse to drink coffee. Our favorite way to sample these coffees is by hosting cupping session with our friends. For those who are not familiar with coffee lingo, cupping is simply another way of saying coffee tasting. However, it's more in-depth than just brewing coffee, sipping it and chugging it down. Angels' Cup gives you the option to record your tasting notes either on your bag or through their App. Oh yes, Angels' Cup has an app! (Note: Angels' Cup did not have this app when we reviewed their subscription) You can record your notes and compare them with other community members, as well as the roaster. Over time, you will become a pro at distinguishing each coffees aroma, complexity, acidity, body, bitterness, sweetness and aftertaste. Angels' Cup has given us the ability to perfect our skills, study for our coffee certification, and give us an excuse to drink more coffee! #TheCoffeePsychopaths #TheCoffeeSnob #TheCoffeeJerk https://angelscup.com/

(Note: The Starbucks Reserve Roastery Subscription is no longer offered)
We were lucky to be one of the last people to experience this prestigious subscription. Every month, a fresh bag of coffee would arrive at our front door waiting for us when we arrived home. Good luck trying to find these at your local Starbucks! These particular beans were rare, micro-lot roasts that only those who held a subscription or visited the Reserve store would be able to indulge in. Our specific coffee, from Honduras, was amazing. The Honduras La Campa is a medium body coffee with lots of flavor. Too bad it only lasted 2 days. This was one roast our friends seemed to really enjoy, both by itself and paired with fresh pastries from Ninth Street Bakery in Durham, NC. Hopefully, at some point in the future, they will relaunch or, even better, bring a Starbucks Reserve store to Raleigh, NC! #TheCoffeePsychopaths #TheCoffeeSnob #TheCoffeeJerk |
