Anisette Sweet Shop-Raleigh, NC

Located in the Five Points area of Raleigh, North Carolina is a café called Anisette's Sweet Shop. From the outside, this quaint shop looks like just another ordinary bakery and coffee shop.

We stumbled across this goldmine about two months ago. Our first experience exceeded our expectations and had us wishing we lived just a little closer. We sipped on coffee from Lil Wolf Coffee Roasters and devoured fresh-baked goods that were absolutely delicious. Everything seemed too perfect…way too perfect.

My second trip to Anisette's was even better than the first. My recommendations? Try whatever new coffee is on the menu or just ask which is their favorite. Either way, you won't be disappointed. As far as the baked goods...I recommend what I ordered. Everything!

I paired these delicious baked goods with coffee from Cirque Coffee Roasters based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I've become a huge fan of honey processed coffee over the past year. The taste is unlike any other and pairs well with just about everything. Most coffee gets bitter when cooled down. This coffee was perfect from start to finish.

The verdict:

This place, in my opinion, is one of the best in the area. We really hit the jackpot when we found this gem. Their coffee, carefully selected from roasters around the world, will never disappoint you. Their baked goods, lightly sweet and moist, are perfect for that sweet tooth or next event.

So, if you are looking for a place that sells nothing but perfection, we strongly recommend you stop by. You should also check out their second location, Little Shop, in the Oakwood section of downtown Raleigh.
